The teaching and learning at Southern Grove Primary is centered on the Walker Learning Approach pedagogy and informed by Belonging, Being and Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), The National Quality Standards (NQS), The Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines, and the West Australian Curriculum.

At Southern Grove Primary we want to inspire our students to engage in their learning, set challenging goals and develop a critical thinking mindset. We want to nurture empowered, self-motivated learners who will thrive and make a positive contribution to the world in which they will live.
