Illness and Injury

If your child is unwell before arriving at school it is recommended they be kept home. To minimise the risk of infection, the Department of Health recommend that if your child has been vomiting they be kept home for 24 hours once these symptoms have ceased.

If your child becomes unwell or is injured at school, they will be taken to the medical room for basic first aid. Parents will be contacted if deemed necessary. A parent/guardian will always be contacted in the case of a head or neck injury.

In the event of an emergency it is vital that the school has up to date contact numbers for parents and emergency contacts. If your contact details including home, mobile and work numbers, email addresses, your residential address or emergency contact people change please advise the front office staff as soon as possible.
