Brett Kristiansen
I have been a parent member of the School Board at Southern Grove Primary School since 2022. I have lived in Southern River since 2008 with my wife Tash and now son Noah, who has been attending the school since Kindy.
Much like a lot of people in WA I currently work in mining for WesTrac CAT as a Business Manager, supporting large mining equipment, dealing with some of the world’s largest mining companies. I completed a mechanical trade early in my career and progressed through to completing an MBA with ECU among other training I have undertaken as my career has progressed. I have held various leadership, management and commercial roles through my career. My driver to be part of the school board has been to give back by helping to develop the best environment to enable all of our children to grow into their full potential through a well-supported and resourced school leadership team.
I am a passionate advocate for the school and actively promote the personalised, evidence focused Walker learning structure. Having seen firsthand the benefits for children, from natural high achievers through to the ones who just need that little extra nurturing.
I cherish my free time, spending it with friends, family, having adventures and trying to keep active.
