Southern Grove Primary is located in the rapidly growing suburb of Southern River. The school is set in a quiet residential area close to parks, natural bushland and shopping centres.  Our school opened in 2018 and has state of the art facilities including early childhood classrooms, primary classrooms, a library, undercover area, tennis courts, science room, music room and a visual arts room.  Our students have access to cutting edge technology and our indoor and outdoor learning environment is exceptional.

At Southern Grove we have a strong focus on the teaching of social and emotional skills. We have successfully integrated social and emotional learning into our teaching and learning programs.  Our programs adhere to the School Curriculum and Standards Authority WA.  Teachers differentiate the curriculum to personalise learning to meet every students needs.  We offer Science, Physical Education, Music, Visual Art and Auslan as specialist subjects.  Our early childhood programs are centred around intentionally planned play and the explicit teaching of literacy and numeracy.  Our middle school programs are inquiry based and also include the explicit teaching of literacy and numeracy.

We encourage parents to be actively involved in many facets of the school including the School Board, P and C, parent helpers and joining us for family events.
